What Am I Doing?

Well I'm back after studying 2 years in Australia! And I'm excited to share that I'll be joining the staff at University of Washington's Asian American Christian Fellowship (AACF). Right now I'm at the raising support time period so check out the 'How to Help' tab or just click here.

What does it mean to be a Campus Minister?

AACF is a ministry that is student led but staff directed. That means students get a chance to do a lot of the leading and planning and even vision casting and we as staff come along side them and provide counsel, resources and support. We are there to encourage as well as help them in situations which they might not be equipped to handle. These are exciting times as God brings me into a new season! Please join me in this journey and I would love your support.

This website will mainly be used as a hub for people to find out more about me as a campus minister at Udub. You can support me financially here. If you want the latest updates you can join my facebook page here and check out my blog here. If you give me your email address I will also be sending email updates. Email me here.

Otherwise read about the journey of how I got here.

How Can You Donate?

You can download my support card here. You can also click on the link on the left and go to the JEMS support page and donate through Credit Card or Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT).

2011 Timeline

July 5-82011

Hillsong Conference 2011 - Sydney, Australia

I had the opportunity to direct at the Darling Harbour Convention Centre. It was amazing! Some of the people on the platform were John Maxwell, Jentezen Franklin, Robert Fergusson, Jesus Culture, Israel Houghton, Darlene Zschech, and Reuben Morgan.

July 22-242011

Celebrate Jesus 2011 - Nadi, Fiji.

This certainly was a blessing from God to come to Fiji and help out with this conference. God showed up in a mighty way! If I can make it back in 2012 that would be amazing!

September 282011

First Day of School - First AACF Meeting of the year.

This is our first meeting of the Autumn quarter! A new season begins.

November 232011

Pray for the students as they tackle final exams this week. No official AACF Large group meeting but I'm sure people will be gathering to study together!

September2003-July2006

Let's just call these the "wandering years". haha

I think I kind of felt a little lost at this point in my life. I was having trouble starting a career and it seemed like there weren't many opportunities. But God had a plan.

March2006

30th Anniversary of UWAACF

During this time I remember my desire to serve again in ministry was rekindled. I also made a video for this occasion which helped as well.

September 272006

Starts Volunteer Staffer at Udub AACF

This was the beginning of turning my life around. I still struggled but it gave me a passion for serving God.

September 262007

2007-2008 School year starts

My 2nd year as a volunteer staff at AACF.

May 2-42008

JEMS Young Career Retreat

Good time to have community with Young Career people. Small group led and got to know some people better. It was interesting looking at what I wrote in my journal after the retreat. I wrote about sharing in small group and mentioning about FRUSTRATION in all areas of my life.

June 15-202008

LTC 2008

A great time to gather as an AACF Family. This year was my first year MCing. I was really nervous about it but it went well. It gave me more opportunity to relate to the students and talk to them.

January 222009

Accepted in Hillsong International Leadership College

I remember this day clearly. I checked at work my email and got the message I was accepted into the school, and I remember driving home from work praising God. In my heart I knew this would be a life-changing moment.

January 23-252009

AACF Staff Retreat - Los Angeles, California

This was such perfect timing because usually during this retreat we share about our plans for the following year and for most of us confirm that we would be on staff for the following year. This year however I was able to share about just getting accepted into Hillsong Bible College and my plans for attending later in the year. God has such perfect timing!

June 14-192009

LTC 2009

This would be my last LTC before I head to Australia. It was a great time to worship The Lord with those with the same passion for AACF.

July 82009

Arrives in Sydney, Australia

I came and did all the tourist things for the first 5 days before checking into college housing. Ended up being one of the few times playing the "tourist" in my whole 2 years in Australia.

July 232009

College orientation and My 29th Birthday

Somewhat ironic that I celebrate my birthday on the first day of school. It really felt like the whole first day of school thing where you don't know too many people. I do recall that I actually initiated conversations with people I didn't know. This is what I like to call breaking out of the shell. haha.

December2009-January2010

Winter Break in Seattle

Fortunate to be able to come home for the winter break and spend the holidays with the family and friends.

February2010

Moves into House 14

After a week of house bumming at my old Kellyville house I move into House 14 in Glenwood. A good choice. If you want to know a little bit about what it's like living in this house check out this link

July 5-92010

Hillsong Conference 2010

My first Hillsong Conference experience at the Acer Arena. It is an amazing thing to watch 22,000 people pack a stadium and worship God! I served partly helping out with Session recordings as well as doing all the transfering of XDCAM footage onto our networked hard drive.

December2010-January2011

Christmas Break in Seattle

Spent 2 months back in Seattle for Winter Break. Wouldn't exactly call it a break since I was working the whole time but it was certainly good to be back!
